Miss Earth Titlists Visit Iligan City

The last week of May ended with a blast for Iligan as four (4) Miss Earth Titlist visited the City, namely : Miss Earth-Indonesia 2013, Nita Sofiani Rebut Mahkota; Miss Earth-Nepal 2013, Rojisha Shahi Thakuri;  Miss Earth Indonesia 2011, Inez Elodhia Maharani; and, Miss Philippines Earth 2014, Jamie Herrell.  The ENO Peace Messengers were accompanied by Environment Online (ENO) Asia Coordinator, Kalaimani Supramaniam and International Franchise & Branding Manager Astrud Magareth Schuck.

Miss Earth Indonesia and Miss Philippines Earth rendered a song and dance performance during the Iligan City Tourism Council Oathtaking and Induction of Officers and Members at Elena Tower Inn on May 28, 2014

Their visit to Iligan won't be complete without a photo with the famous Maria Cristina Falls.

World Class Artists – The Platters and Cascades Performs In Iligan City

April 6, 2013.  Two world class performers held a concert in Iligan City.

For the first time in the city’s history, these names, who were leaders in the top music/song charts of their time held a back-to-back concert at the La Salle Gymnasium wooing the audience with their hit songs.  The Platters, the first to perform, held up their standards of a world class performance by belting out hit after hit…the likes of Smoke gets in your eyes, Only You, The Great Pretender, Remember When, Twilight Time and countless others.

Lonely Planet Author Visited Iligan

Mr. Michael Grosberg, author of one of the best and most followed travel book in the world today, Lonely Planet, just recently visited Iligan to get his first hand information on how to get around the city.

He arrived in the morning of June 25, 2011 and spent the whole day in Iligan to get the feel of a tourist visiting the place.  He left late in the afternoon for Cagayan de Oro City for some appointments in the evening.

Information that he gathered included tourists spots, directions, restaurants, hotels.  He is updating his book and hopefully, he will write a more colorful and interesting article about Iligan City.

Living Asia's Visit to Iligan

Three staff from Living Asia  Channel visited Iligan City on August 21, 2010 to shoot a few of the tourist spots in the city.  They were able to shoot Dodiongan Falls, Mimbalut Falls, and Maria Cristina Falls including the other facilities in NPC Nature's Park.

The City Government of Iligan, through the City Tourism Office, was able to negotiate with Living Asia Channel to come back to Iligan on September 26-30, 2010 to shoot more of the tourist spots and the Diyandi Festival Celebration.
